Today, we’re excited to share a powerful new way to send money with stablecoin payouts.

With Remitly, you can now send U.S. dollars that are delivered as digital dollars (USDC). This gives our customers an additional payout choice designed for environments where inflation or currency instability might make digital dollars a helpful option.

Why Stablecoin Payouts Matter

In some markets, local currencies may lose value quickly. Even after sending funds home, your recipient might find it’s worth less by the time they use it. Stablecoins can help address this.

USDC is a stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 value with the U.S. dollar. By sending funds as USDC, your recipient receives a more predictable store of value they can hold, use, or convert when it makes sense for them.

Note: USDC is backed by U.S. dollar reserves and issued by Circle Internet Financial, LLC (“Circle”). Its value is generally stable, though may vary under certain market conditions. You can learn more by reviewing Circle’s USDC Terms.
